Sunday 3/11 – Landgraf Loppet – Despite the Weather

by Noah Michaelsen on March 9, 2012

No matter the weather on Sunday a Landgraf Loppet is happening BYOB and B. Bring Your Own Bib and Beer. Bring your bike, skis, running shoes, snowshoes, or unicycle but we are going to celebrate a short, but great SKI SEASON at Hickory.

  • Registration 9-10 AM
  • Race Start 10:05 AM
  • Post Race Celebration begins at 10:30 AM

The original plan was Al’s and he thought we could do a low ski race just like last year, which I was SUPER excited about it!! Any who due to the weather we might not be able to ski, but running/hiking or biking in the snow/ slush could still be a FANTASTIC time.

Hope to see you all on Sunday.

1/28 – Everything is READY

by Noah Michaelsen on January 28, 2012

Ross worked through the wee hours of the night.  Operating the Gator and Ginzu, he leveled the skate deck and put in a new classic track.  South, North, Tram, Highland Lk, Dog Island – everything is freshly groomed, after the Friday snowfall.  No classic track on the Dog Island trails – the tracks stop at the cabin.  Enjoy and remember to donate to at the trailhead!
